DAY OF THE SEAFARER (DOTS)
"YOUR VOYAGE, THEN AND NOW, SHARE YOUR JOURNEY"
Seafarers Management Centre (SMC) via the Central Mercantile Fund (CMMF) has participated in the Day of the Seafarer 2022 (DOTS 22) Celebration in Kemaman, Terengganu Darul Iman for two days from 24th June until 25th June, 2022.
The theme of DOTS 2022 was set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is “Your Voyage, Then and Now, Share Your Journey”. The selection of this theme officially by the IMO coincides with the experience of being a seafarer from the beginning of a career until now especially the experience of sailing.
This celebration was enlivened with various sports activities and the presentation of awards such as National Seafarer Bravery Award, Day of The Seafarer Icon and National Seafarer of The Year . DOTS 2022 was also officiated by YB. Dato Henry Sum Agong, Deputy Minister of Transport Malaysia.
